Honoring Hispanic Heritage Month!

Hispanic Heritage Month is coming to a close on the 15th, so I'd like to take a quick moment to share more about me and the diversity I bring to my books!

Let me start by explaining the why... 

When I was young, I was drawn to fantasy books like a starving person who finds a banquet of their favorite foods. I could not get enough fantasy!

But as I was reading, I never "saw" any characters that looked like me or came from a home like mine or acted like me. 

Fast forward MANY years, I didn't have a set-in-stone mission to bring my Hispanic culture into my books, it just organically happened. You've heard the saying, write what you know. Well, that's what I did!

It wasn't until later when I got so much positive feedback from readers who'd been craving what I had obviously been craving, that I realized how important it was for me to bring my culture into my books.

Now, it's my brand!

I love shining a light on my rich ancestral background and sharing a BIG part of myself with my readers. I hope you love it, too!
