October Updates: Bruja Files, Events & More!

We've officially made it to spooky season, and HOA HOA HOA season, which feels especially appropriate considering what I've been working on lately!
Bruja Files Is Out in the Wild!
After doing a fresh round of edits to my Bruja Files TV pilot script, I entered it into a screenwriting contest! 😳
I almost wasn't going to say anything because all those doubting "what ifs" started playing in my mind. You know the voice, the one that says things like, But what if it doesn't do well?
Then I thought... but what if it does?
At the end of the day, all I can do is my best and let the chips fall where they may. But yes, I hope it does well! 🤞
Whatever the outcome, I'm excited that this story is taking another step forward.
Kickstarter Update!
ALL digital rewards have officially been sent! WOOHOO!! 🎉
Everything else is in progress, and I'll continue sharing updates as we move closer to getting everything into readers' hands.
Readers Fest Has Come and Gone!
And I had the best time!
I got to hang out with author friends, catch up with readers I've met at previous events, and meet some wonderful new readers too!
But one moment absolutely made the weekend for me. Actually, TWO moments!
A reader I've known since the beginning of my writing career came to see me after we hadn't seen each other in YEARS. I literally almost cried when I saw her!
The other moment? A reader I had met only a few months ago came to Readers Fest just to see me and tell me how much she was loving the Fae Bloodlines Series! 😭
Books may bring us together initially, but it's the relationships I've formed with readers over the years that make these events so special to me and make this journey so worthwhile! ❤️

I'm super excited to be attending the Forbidden Pages Bookish Fest on Sunday, October 11th, from 11 AM–4 PM at POST Houston!
