Happy November, reader friends! 🌹
Can you believe we're almost at the end of the year?! I can't!! But here we are, and I've got some exciting updates to share, including a new story in the works, highlights from MileHiCon, Kickstarter news, and a little confession about my latest hairstyle. 😂
Let's get to it!
What I'm Writing: A Shimmer of Fate
Guess what? I'm writing a short story!
Yep, I'm heading back to Faevenly with A Shimmer of Fate, a prequel to my Fae Bloodlines series that takes place before Fae Away! ✨
This story explores how the shimmer portal ended up in Princess Celyse's path. There will be plenty of magic, secrets, and danger!
A Shimmer of Fate is coming in December! I'll share more details as we get closer to release day.
Event News: MileHiCon and What's Next
MileHiCon in Denver was a BLAST!
I had such a wonderful time meeting so many incredible new readers and fantastic authors. But the highlight of the weekend?
TWO ROSE BUDS TRAVELED OVER AN HOUR TO SEE ME!! 😭💞
It was the biggest joy to see them! Even though it's been a few weeks, my heart is still overflowing with happiness from spending time with them.
These are the moments that make being an author so special.
And I've still got two events coming up before the end of the year!
NerdCon — November 14, 2026
Mont Belvieu, Texas
Dragonsteel Nexus — December 3–5, 2026
Salt Lake City, Utah
If you're attending either event, please come say hi! I'd love to meet you!
Kickstarter Update!
After tackling a few printing snafus, the books are officially on their way to me!!! 🎉
I'm SO excited to finally get my hands on these beauties! Once they arrive, I'll be getting everything ready for the next round of fulfillment.
Busy, busy! 📦
I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported this project. I can't wait for these books to make their way into your hands!
Life Lately: The Bangs Situation 😂
Okay, remember when I got bangs?
Well, I've decided they're not for me.
I'm officially counting down the days until they grow out! 🤣
If I ever mention getting bangs again, please remind me of this post!!
Between writing, book events, Kickstarter fulfillment, and everything else that comes with being an independent author, life has been keeping me busy. But there's always something exciting happening in my little corner of the Garciaverse!
That's it for November's update!
What's been happening in your world? I'd love to hear from you!
Happy reading!
