I loved the dynamism of the dialogue which characterizes them as individuals, but also as a driving force of the shared plot. The unfolding of the prophecy is well-paced as a core timekeeper for the plot, and I felt there was a great balance of tension versus action so that things were never quiet for long. As Avalynn and Mateo navigate treacherous challenges and confront their own desires, the stakes escalate, culminating in a thrilling climax that leaves readers craving more.
