How My Fantasy Series Are Connected
If you've read more than one of my fantasy series, you may have noticed familiar names or subtle connections woven throughout the stories. That's because every fantasy novel I write exists within the same shared universe—the Garciaverse!
While each series tells its own complete story, they're connected through generations of families whose lives intertwine across time and worlds. Some of those connections are obvious, while others are hidden like little Easter eggs waiting to be discovered.

One of my favorite things about writing fantasy is building worlds that feel real long after you've turned the last page.
Rather than creating completely separate universes for each series, I wanted my books to feel like pieces of a much larger tapestry. Every family has a history. Every region has its legends. Every choice has consequences that can echo across generations.

One of the first connections readers discover is the Avila family.
Julio Avila from the Fae Bloodlines Series is related to Trent Avila from The Final Life Series. They're cousins! And the family tree continues to grow—you'll meet even more members of the Avila family in The Bruja Files and in the next Faevenly story.
These aren't just fun Easter eggs for longtime readers. They help create a world where every story feels like it belongs to something bigger.
